Smile 94 buick lesabre speed sensor

hello out there first post

about 7500 miles ago dealer replaced both front hubs and left front speed sensor.
now they tell us we need right side speed sensor. they say wheel bearings are loose and contributed to demise.
question>> would the wheel bearings not be changed at same time as hubs?
also --is sensor a change for a do it yourselfer of minor skill to do?

The wheel bearings on those vehicles come complete as a hub assembly and the speed sensor is incorporated in the hub assembly. It is fairly easy to install one provided you have the right tools.
Axel shaft bolt has to come off.
Three bolts holding the spindle in place have to come off.
Disconnect the speed sensor and carefully nudge the hub assembly out.
Installation is the opposite but be careful when installing the wire for the abs. Make sure you guide it tru and secure so it does not move and rub against moving parts.
Good Luck.
