It doesn't effect your highbeams at all. They are 2 seperate bulbs.

Dude your headlights are aimed horribly, pull them up a little bit, our headlights are some of the best designed beam patterns I've ever seen. Just start adjusting them up sometime at night until they reach out as far as possible.

I did this a couple days ago to my new projectors and it made a huge difference.
I wish I found out about it when I had my stock headlights.

I did this conversion a while back and I love it. I can tell a big diff. I have the regular bulbs in the "low" one and the halogens in the high and it is mega bright. Can't wait to try it with some super whites.

Also I gound it is easier to just clip the tab with some cutters and melt the inside tabs with a sodering iron.

Over the weekend, I did a little headlight conversion too... not quite like yours though. Me and my friend (JDM 4g4d) both did this convertion to our cars. We put the low beams in the high beam spot, and vise versa. When I was done, I had to aim my headlights down because the highbeams are pointed up a little bit more than the lowbeams are. I notice quite a bit of difference with it done like this... it gives me a better viewing area at night. I think next week I am going to get yellow headlight bulbs like JDM 4g4d has, to give it a JDM look at night. Here is a pic of my car with my "conversion" done.

arent the high beams weaker now?

oh yea and the only mod ive done to mine is rewiring the bumper lenses to a switch.

did it to my moms car too, but on the low fillament setting with stock bulbs, hers has no problems, but REALLY doesnt offer any additional lighting benefit

I put my car back to stock though cause they started melting the housing, and didnt actually offer much of an additional lighting benefit. I also didnt really like the super fast blinker action.
