Mitsu newbie: 1 question

I'm new to Mitsubishi's, and I was wondering what kind of swap most people do on an eclipse. I've heard of a 4G63, but I don't know if that's right. Any help is appreciated.

1G - 4G63T
2G - 4G63
3G - who cares

A common swap is a 4G63T into a 2G. I haven't heard of too many others that are very common.

This is not the honda section. There is no JDM engine swap shit around here, we rarely swap engines, and if we do, its the 2G guys swaping in a early 1G motor

I think the first question that should be answered is if he even needs a swap. Actually, what i am curious about if he even owns an eclipse and that the Buick Park Avenue was his old car or something...

Thanks for the info, everyone. To answer your questions about my car: yes, unfortunately, I drive a POS 1991 Park Avenue. I'm obsessed with Hondas, and my plan was to sell the Buick, use that money to buy a 5th gen civic hatch, and do a B16A2 swap. I'm starting to consider other cars, though, because B-series engines are rapidly disappearing. They will eventually be very expensive and hard to find parts for. A complete b16A2 swap is already almost $3000. Anyways, a 2nd gen eclipse is my favorite body style, but it's out of my price range, so I figured I could buy a shell for a few hundred bucks and do a swap. That's why I asked.

Would you just drop in the enigine or rebuild it first? If you rebuild it, you would be getting up there in price.

Just drop it in. Do you have to rebuild it first? It's already a damn good engine without any extra work.

Cool, thanks man. Do their motors not have an official name, though? They just called them a 2.4 L and a 2.0 L. There was no engine code. Or maybe I'm just retarded and didn't see it.
