Program to kill pop up ads?

Any good programs I can download from a site? I am now getting pop up ads, not from websites, but ones that look like Windows system pop ups with the "ok" button. These are getting quite annoying

Adsgone - I've used it for about a year on my 2000 machines and its damn good. One of the real good features is the ability to add sites on the fly so they don't bug you again. Its a rare one that gets through any more.

http://download.com.com/3000-2144-10187875.html well worth the 22 bucks and you can use it on five machines at the same time.

well if those started more after you installed a program its most likely due to spyware......

go get spybot and remove all spyware.....

to get rid forever of pop up get mozilla and under options privacy setting sellect "don't open unsolicitated windows" and you'll never see a popup again

if you need more details just ask

edit your hosts file, it'll block the corresponding sites.

But your required the ip/web address of the sites, its automatic.

Use mozilla if u want, it have some popup blocker pre-built service.

Yea i've heard of the anti-pop up prog before, pretty good. My parents just got Earthlink and it comes with anti pop up software and works great. And like that program you can add sites that you want pop ups in, such as opening a new window.
