Change of plans on my car.

Okay so I am tired of messing with the old a6 that is in my car. So I am going to sell all of my turbo crap for it and start on a b-series fund. I can get one installed for about $3k I dont know what motor I want yet. I want a b-18 but its too expensive. so I think I am gonna go with a b16. Anyone have any suggestions?

Read my mind.

I was just looking at a link for a 1st gen B16 for $700cdn (something like $500usd.)
http://www.torontocivics.com/tccforu...threadid=27831

B18 complete is often around the same price as the 1st gen B16.. The B16 comes with a better tranny though, and stock for stock, will be the faster of the two swaps. With the B18 you have to wire for OBD and it might give you troubles later down the road if you get into modding it heavy.. The B16 will need extra wiring for VTEC, but you can run the non-OBD ECU that it comes with.

Shit, I really need to resist replying to every B series thread.
BUT GET ONE, YOU'LL LOVE IT!

So, have you installed this turbo already, or have you just been getting together the parts? and more importantly, what do you have (turbo-wise) and how much are you going to sell it for?!

I have a t-25 turbo, a Port matched exhaust manifold, a ford probe intercooler, a 1st gen DSM blow off, and the metal needed to make the adapter plate.

Make offers and since I have never used the turbo I do not guarentee it works right I got it dirt cheap and that leads me to think that something is wrong with it.

Contact me at [email protected] about the setup. I spent $150 on the turbo, $110 on the port matched manifold, and like $50 together on the intercooler and BOV. The metal is really of no use it would cost more in shipping than it would to have one made at a machine shop.

i guess im sorta a newb when it comes to turbo's, but how can something not work on them?

and also kinda off topic, but not really I was down in Litiz, PA yesterday, saw a nice eclipse a nice burgandy color, full exhaust, CF hood...and one of those fake Intercoolers, I just started laughing.
