passenger side mirror

I need to put on a passenger side mirror to "balance" out the std...

I did a search but did not find anything on the actual install... has someone out there done this or can give me a hint on how to get started? Will I have to take the inside of the door off? I just need to know what holds it on and where the bolts are at... thanks

Well, mine came with a passenger side mirror (Si), but I'm sure it's very similar setup on yours. Basically, inside the car, there should be a little "triangle" shaped piece of plastic just inside the mirror. It should just pop off unless you see some screws or something. Once that is off, I'm sure you'll see some screws/bolts that hold the outer trim-piece that covers where the mirror would go... Remove that piece, and then the mirror should bolt right up. You will need to get a new interior trim piece with the hole in the middle so that the adjustment arm can stick through it (or just drill a hole in the one you've got if you're not too picky)...

That should probably do it, although, I've never actually seen an STD close up, so I'm not 100%, but I'm probably right anyways.

yeah, that was my main concern...was the plastic piece on the inside.. I was hoping it would just pop off but I figured before I go wrench on it and snap it in half I'll have to examine it closer tonight... most of the mirrors i have found come complete with the new inside plastic piece with the hole allowing for the adjustor plastic thingamabob...so I can just pop the new one in..I hope.. Thanks!
