Mitsu Carisma EVO6 - Freddy Loix - 2nd Photo Shoot (10 pics)

Hi guys,

I was able to use my friends digicam last week (see also my finished SLK), os I decided to take pictures again of my Mitsu Carisma EVO 6 in Freddy Loix, Monte Carlo 2000 rally trim. I posted already some here quite a while back, but I think the new pics are a lot better.

Mod's are:
Extra's on the kit are: Decal sheet from Renaissance to represent Freddy Loix' 2000 Monte Carlo machine, seat-belts, hood fasteners and rear aerial base from Racing 43, and some (although not visible on the pics) wheel valves from some sprue, detail painting etc.

Nice car, beutiful job, but I have a question, After you applied the decals did you use a clear coat over the paint and decals? if so, what type of clear coat did you use? any help would be appreciated.

I did use clear coat indeed. I'm an 'old fashion' modeler, so I used, as always, Revell N°1 enamel clear coat. From all enamels I found over the years that this one is the only who doesn't yellow over time.

Gave the decals enough drying time, more then a week, and then put on the clear coat in different layers. 2 thin coats and 1 a bit thicker. Some orange peel or dust particles here and there were sanded out and then polished.

Hope this helps.
