Yamaha RedBull R1 Yamaha
this is my tamiya kit of a yamaha r1. i drilled out the brakes and sprayed the rear can (exhaust) to look like carbon i also gave it a red bull look cos we do see road bikes on the street with race colours hope you all like this is my first pics to the site

Beutiful bike, I love it, great job on the muffler. I love the graphics, im guessing they did not come with the kit? Anyways, great job, the brake discs look awsome all drilled out.

r1 bike
yes i used a pin vice to drill out the brakes and i also used the sticker kit from the tamiya red bull kit.So now i have a yamaha kit without stickers but will come up with something to do with it. The best stuff i have used for the decals was decal set by testors i really pulled the decals to the kit

The hardest thing abouy doing the cans is finding something to wrap around the pipes so you can do the carbon fiber look starting with gloss black all over the pipes and then using tamiya ms5 spray over the top of the black but using something like fly screen to get the gaps on the pipe. If anyone knows anything better to use to cover the pipes to do carbon look please let me know THANKS TO ALL FOR YOUR GOOD INPUT ON MY KIT.............

Yes, nobby it took me about 3 hours to drill out the holes but i think it was all worth it.
