Ecu upgrade

I just put an jdm h22a in my accord... I was wondering if anybody know whether or not these "performance chips" on ebay are even worth it... not the stupid timing resistor... but a new E-PROM.... running either a mugen, jun, or i think skunk2 has one as well... The thing is, I had to keep the accord tranny... good and bad... I do want to drop the V-tec crossover point... this is the main idea of me going with thischip... or would it be better to go with a piggyback vtec controller??
