Rebel Machine

Yes, the Rebel was AMC's midsize platform and it formed the basis of the 1970 Rebel Machine muscle car. The Rebel machine featured a 390 cid V8 rated at a strong 340 horsepower.

did the sales on the car last long, wut was more popular, was a Datsun 240Z more popular than the Rebel, or other way around, i like the Rebel for its true 70's design, the only thing i dunt like is the wierd design on the cars tail lights

Gremlin is friggin' awesome, there's one riding around here with a huge blower sticking out of the hood and huge wheels. It's a really loud car, and it has a really short wheelbase. That allows it to have lower weight and run better 1/4 miles, and it can corner fair enough.

The Rebel changed names for the '71 year to the Matador. This is why you can't compare the Datsun to the Rebel. Did you know you can get MAD HP from an AMC 390/401? Indy makes heads for them. I have seen 850+ HP easy out of a good built AMC V-8.
