I have a 99 cavy which i just got a couple weeks ago. I installed my mp3 player (sony mp450 or somthing along those lines). I have pioneer 3-ways in the back and pioneer 2 ways in the front. If i play my music pretty loud my mp3 player all of the sudden stops reading and then starts back up again. I'm thinking its because maybe its not getting enough power? I dunno not too sure. Anyway if someone could tell me what the problem might be and a possible solution. Also I have a 220 watt jensen amp that I got for free. If i hooked it up to the 3-ways would it be drawing more or less power?Thanx.

Yes it sounds like your drawing to much power then what your car can export. Amplifiers draw more power.

you'll prolly get by w/ a deep cycle battery like a optima yellow top or something. prolly wouldn't need a new alternator unless the one u have now doesn't work....

run the speakers to the amp and buy a capacitor and this will solve the to much power draw.
