Cash?

How many people carry cash or plastic, just wondering b/c I think I'm the only person out of all my friends who uses their debit card and not cash for everything I buy.

I carry around Cash and Credit Cards. Cash mainly for the miniscule(sp?) purchases like lunch and magazines, things of that nature. Credit Cards for larger purchases like clothes and nice restaurants. Never got into the debit card thing, I just perfer not to have another piece of plastic in my wallet.

I got into trouble when I was 18, and got my first card, so it is cash only. I'f I don't have the cash, I don't need it.

I only use credit cards because all my credit cards have bonus's for using them... I've gotten a TON of free gas with my BP card, and I just got to pick from a huge list of stuff like trips, cameras, gift cards, etc for using my providian card.

Credit cards are useful for building credit and emergencies.

I usually carry about $10 for places that only accept cash.

If I had a credit card, I'd be in major debt in about a month, and if I had a debit card, I'd never had money saved. So it's cash only for me.

Credit + emergency cash (~$20, small bills). I don't use debit anymore cuz it doesn't build credit.

And yes, spending mostly cash instead of plastic does make you spend less.

Until just recently when I started getting service charges, I used to use debit for everything, even like $3 stuff...way easier. However, now that I get like 20 transactions in my monthly service charge, then after that it's 50 cents per transaction, I tend to take out like $60 and let that last me for a while instead of just using up all my transactions.

I use debit for almost everything, that way I am paying just for what I need. I tend to spend when I have cash. I learned my lesson with credit cards...so I just keep 1 card for emergencies. It has an $1800 limit on it, I made them lower it so I don't get in deep again. It was $11,700 before...and it wasn't necessary
