Cool oiling problems

IVE BUILT ALOT OF CHEVY ENGINES...BUT HAVING OILING TROUBLES WITH MY L-88 ENGINE. THE TROUBLE IS THAT WHEN I PRIME MY ENGINE IT WONT OIL OUT OF MY PUSHRODS. GAUGE ONLY READS 20 LBS. NEVER HAD THIS PROB BEFORE. YES CHANGED OIL PUMP AND PULLED CAM BACK OUT AND CHECKED TO SEE IF CAM BEARINGS WAS LINED UP RIGHT. AND THEY WAS.

Does it have hydraulic lifters with air trapped inside?
Is the flow orifice in the lifter restriction plate (just under the pushrod socket) the right size for the oil you're using? Is it plugged? Is it bent?

Do you have way too much clearance somewhere else (mains, etc), or a missing plug somewhere along the oil gallery?
