boosted b16

How much could you safely boost a b16A2 without messing with internals?

well, depends on what fuel upgrades and your gonna manage the engine with but Id stay below 8 psi to be safe. 10.2:1 is pretty high for much boost, Ive heard 10-12 on LS 9.6:1 and 6-8 on GSR 10.1:1 so id guess the B16 could handle about as much.

With all proper fuel upgrades, and GOOD TUNING you can run 10psi safely on stock internals. I know people with 99-00 si's that that daily and 12 psi on the track. Its all about tuning, and I mean dyno tuning by a PROFESSIONAL.

With pump gas? Or race fuel?
And to 94tegRS-An LS engine has 9.2:1 compression, not 9.6:1. But any B series rods and pistons (stock) can handle 12 PSI. The stock cylinder walls can handle 14-15 PSI. This is why it makes no sense to me why people just put in new rods and pistons when you can only run 3 PSI more than stock internals. If you are going to rebuild, get it relseeved.

I have been dealing with my ZC lately, maybe thats why 9.6:1 came to mind.
