Yea, thats what I wanna know. I just don't think taking your needle off, hell, any of the gauge needles off, is a smart idea. If bumping them when you are installing indiglows is bad, imagine how removing the needle would be. But still, I am curiosu, what sre you trying to do with them? Pain the needle with like a glow-reflective paint so the glow of the indilgows kinda lights in up like a white shirt under black light? I saw that down once, but I do't think they took the needles off. They toook the cluster out and painted it on by hand with a small brush, a few coats.

Okay newbie, listen up. Don't flame my ass for typo's. It was past midnight, and my girlfriend was in a hurry to get me off the computer. Second, you go insulting us, we are liable not to help you out. Can I help you? Yes!!! All I wanted to know is WHAT you are trying to do in terms of "customizing my gauges." If you read the post, I mentioned the needle thing was in conjunction iwth indiglo's, I didn't say you should go do them. I was curious as to if that is what your trying. Taking off the needle is a dumb idea. Good way to fuck up your speedo. If I knew what you are trying, I might be able to come up with a safer way to try it out. Instead you go and attempt to flame and insult me? Don't go flaming and insulting the very help you started this thread to get. Thats a good way to make more enemies than friends. If you want help, here's a tip, don't go flame people asking honest questions in your post. Thats a quick way to get no one to help you.

You know what dude, if you don't wanna say WTF you are trying to do with those gauges, thats your prerogative. But if thats the way you wanna play, don't go asking for help and actually expect an answer. Go work on something else on your car, cuz your not going to get any help here with that attitude. BTW, as for my gf? No, I promised her I'd log of the computer a half hour before to watch a movie and still hadn't logged off yet. Gee, see, thats not so hard, is it? Telling people something. MAybe you should go try it? And why the hell are yuo so serective about what you are trying with your gauges? is it so special you can't let anyone know? dude, get a life and chill out. Don't expect any help if you arn't willing to tell us what you are trying to do.

I could call him an idiot but that be an insult to idiots worldwide. The simple STFU Newbie won't work either. I agree 100% with Ecko here. You don't get things by not asking nicely. The only situation i could think of is if he's doing something illegally or something he know's is stupid, like the time i wanted to move my washer nozzles and put paint thinner in them an no one would help me.

or, he is trying to sell the car to get that turbo eclipse he wants, but first he wants to get the needle off so he can crack open that odometer and roll it back a few thousand then sell it for more money...

now come on, just be a big boy and tell us why you want the needle off, if you weren't an @sshole about it maybe we could offer you some advice
