ALso, i suggest you might try to make a hole in the hood for the engine. Dont take my word for it, i screwed a lot of models like that.

Heres a real drag car. It started life as AMT's 1970 Chevy Monte Carlo Lowrider, and evolved into a prostreet monster. This was a llong term project for me, unfortunatley, it lieson my work bench, in pieces, as i planned on rebuilding it. I eneded up braking the frame off...

Brake lines w/ open headers

Wired the battery and engine

From its humble begginnings..

Rear frame from AMT 1966 Nova Prostreet

Disc brakes (yes it used to be yellow)

The almost finished product

Mods:
-Ghetto ass rollcage
-Tubbed rear end w/ leafs, skinnies up front and monster goodyears out back w/ wheeelie bar
-Hood scoop
-454 with high rise intake-Recently changed out for a Winston Cup car with high rise intake with open headers
-Sparco seat with harness
-Mirage paint
-Some other stuff i prolly forgot.

CamaroSSboy, what can I say? That dragger is absolutely amazing. Where did you get those gigantic slicks and the front pizza cutters? Did you recycle parts from other kits? Keep up the good work!
