swapped 1/4 times

OKAY, I know this sounds a bit "newbie-ish" but I'm just trying to get a general idea of what I'm going to be running at the tracks. As of right now I'm looking to get an S13 (91-94 to avoid the pre '91 crap), most likely the SE Fastback. The swap will include the following:

"Includes low mileage SR20DET red-top clip, GReddy 3" Downpipe, SHT boost gauge and pod, GReddy type-s BOV and flange welded to GReddy hot pipe, 3" custom cat-back exhaust (choice of N1 style or drager style muffler), mobile one synthetic oil, denso platium plugs, working and charged a/c, power steering, and installation of motor and all parts"

I ask because exhaust an a turbo DSM has been known to add 30HP to the wheels (or maybe it was the crank), so I'm curious.

This would be on stock boost by the way.

boost guages dont add performance, and a/c degrades performance.

and SR's are not track choice man, read some friggen posts or do a search..

turbo ur damn KA to get a track ready car.
that car u plannin will do high 14's with a FMIC.

and if u dont know what an FMIC is, have fun with ur Saturn.

I know they don't add performance, i simply copied and pasted the "whole package".Yyes I understand the AC adds weight and requires the engine to work harder, but when you live in FL A/C is a nice luxury, the stock intercooler is included in the swap, whereas the greddy one (I believe it was greddy) was about 900 bucks... I asked a question to get an idea, not to have some half wit douchebag try to make me look like an idiot. I'd much rather have the SR20DET for road racing (as in twisties). I only asked track times to get the "idea" of what the car is capable of in the straights whether being at track or streets. 0-60 times would be more helpful for figuring out how I'd do on the streets but not many people can tell you what their 0-60 time is. The only reason I care about how it does in a drag, is because I plan on running my friends 87 Turbo Regal.... Which can run anywhere from a low 14 - to high 11... just a matter of how much boost he runs.

so why dont u quit gettin up in the 240 business with all the half witted douche bags who run this place and go buy an 87 turbo regal. if u read the faqs or searched for posts, then researched on time improvement margins that certain parts make, u wouldnt have to ask, especially since no one has EXACTLY what u want there.

My S14 with SR20DET as stock runs 0-60 in the high 6 to low 7 range, maybe a little better, but that's roughly the norm I think.

you guys really need to calm down. sheesh why is everybody so anal about everything? anyways, a that set up that your doin is get you like what ralph said a high 14 second car. but since you got a FIMC, you can turn up the boost safely so you can get higher hp from doin that, but you NEED a walbro fuel pump if your driving a S13 and planning to turn the boost up, becasue thsoe fuel pumps arne't too good from the factory. and since the S13 SR's uses a T25, they only physically boost up to 14.7 psi. no more, that is the limit of what the turbo can do.

at what boost? there is no way a SR can run that fast with stock boost. my car i'm guessin is a low 14 second car. i've beaten an S14 SR motor with more then BPU so there is no way that a stock boost can run that fast.

15 psi, there is nothing dictating that you have to run low boost with those mods as long as he can get a FMIC of some sorts on there. You can get a FMIC for about 300 bucks that will make him able to run 15 psi.

With the downpipe and exhaust he won't be running stock boost either, the turbo will base boost around 9 psi.

dude, i can make a custom intercooler for 300 canadian, all u gotta do is buy the core.

u just gotta know where u gettin ur shit.. i would go custom all the way. .fuck greddy and hks for the FMIC.

my friend has an intercooler half the size of a computer tower case, and he built it for 450, with endpipes and rubber hosing. (not complete piping and hosing)
