just out of curiousity,,is this possible
if i got a d16z6 block and switched it out with my d15b2 block and used my dx intake manifold , dx exhaust manifold and dx tranny and ecu and somehow wired vtec,,, i got a 88 civic dx ,,no mods to the engine ??? |

not possible and it'd be a huge waste of time even if it were possible... MPFI is necessary.

it would starve for fuel when in vtec cause of the dpfi instead of mpfi

yeah....you're right..dont know what I was thinking.. possible with some external switch for vtec...... but still extremely dumb and would probably do more harm than good performance wise..

Thats what i did on my swap.. used all the z6 parts cut off the ends of the 3 plugs that go to the ecu and soldered them onto the new ecu plugs from the donor car, took awhile to do but it was before i knew that dropshop had the conversion harness.
