Thumbs up up close and personal in Hong Kong..

well... what can one say.. i have read your previous criticisms in the threads about the Enzo's look and style, and have to disagree!

i was fortunate enough to see the official launch of the Enzo last weekend at the Peninsula Hotel (a.k.a. James Bond's hotel in Hong Kong..

my FIRST impression was that the car looked like an F50 on steriods.. but it is really not like an F50, after 10 minutes looking at the car..

hunching down in front of the car, it genuinely looks like a racing car with number plates - but yet remains sexy.. the back didnt do anything for me, but hey, im critical about these things.. with the front aerofoil though, the Enzo has the serious look of a car which means business.. ie: the XJ220 had it, the F1 had it, the Zonda has it, and by god -- does the Enzo have it!!

after putting my head into the engine bay for a quick look, it really is an engineering marvel.. the v12 powerplant is simply a work of art.. it really ONLY has two rivals for the beauty contest in my opinion -- the BMW V12 (McF1) and the 7.0 V12 AMG in the zonda.. even then, none of them sound like an Enzo!!

in closing -- before anyone slags off an Enzo regarding looks -- spend half an hour up close and personal with it -- then you may grow to like it.. everyone i know who has seen it (mainly friends at Goodwood Festival), all say the same thing..

a question to finish on; is it really true that none of the 399 will be right hand drive? *gutted*

Question: Enzo colour availability??

I have read in magazines, and heard from Ferrari people that the Enzo could only come in Red & Yellow.. hmmm?

Why does JK from Jamiroquai (the band) have a black one in the UK? Anyone seen any other colours yet?

There are some great shots of it from the Goodwood Festival of speed earlier this month on the link below;

The Enzo is great. I've had the opportunity several times to just stare at one for hours and I love it more and more every time I see it. Not sure about the RHD issue but the Enzo is available in Red, Yellow, and Black.

Re: up close and personal in Hong Kong..

100% agree. First I didn't like it on photos, but after I saw it at the Melbourne Motor Show, love it. In some degree I think it looks more like a race car then the F50. It just look so different in person
