What wheels and tires do you have?

I want to see all of your aftermarket wheels and tires. Please tell me what kind of wheels you have and what kind of tires, along with the sizes (the COMPLETE tire size plz). Pictures would be a huge help too.

This thread is going to help me and anyone else in the market for new wheels get a good idea of what sizes look good on a 240sx and what ones dont.

BTW if you have ever had problems with your wheels/tires scraping plz say so.

Also, tell me what you think of this website. Are the wheel packages there a good deal?

First I had 17" Kosei K1 racing wheels with 215/45 Kumho ECSTA supra 712 tires. Then I took a turn too tight and took the front right wheel off the road into a ditch and the wheel got bent. The tires sucked too, very uneven tread wear... I guess thats what I got for $80 tires.

Heres a pic

Now I have 16X8 Volk TE37's that I took off my Turbo II.
My tires are 225/50-16 Yokohama AVS-I Very very sticky tires, but I think they discontinued them.

Currently I'm on stock rims, and I'll probably stick with them for quite a while, seeing as if I got new ones, I'd stick with 16's, and I'm not going to shell out that sorta money for cosmetic purposes only at the moment.

Tyres, I'm running 205/55 16 Bridgestone Potenza GIII's, but they won't be staying on long. The grip in the dry is uneasy, and it's alot worse in the wet. In a month or so I'm going to get some Continental ContiSportContact, 225/50 16's all round. That should see me right for grip for quite a while.

I really dont like black wheels... First of all you cant even see them from far away, second of all, they remind me of those steel wheels when people take off their hubcaps

I would stick with silver on a burgundy car.

But thats just my opinion, I know a lot of you guys like the black, I wanted black wheels on my car before I got anything, but I'm glad I got the white... The contrast looks really good.

i love the rugged look that thick spoked black wheels set off for the car.

im thinking of gettin black wheels or gold or gunmetal, but not silver or white.. im not too fond of the way most designs are lookin in silver nowadays

That's the only thing I dislike about my car. When I do eventually get new wheels, I'm going to be stuck with only getting silver wheels. Although I suppose it's ok, seeing as I dislike black and chrome wheels. Would be nice to have a car that suited gunmetal wheels though.

I like the stock 200SX wheels- very nice and clean looking indeed they'd be ultra nice looking if the Calipers weren't painted red

Lol, tell me about it. I'm eventually going to paint them black, with the 'Nissan' that's embossed on the front calipers painted white. Although the red has growin on me a little, but I'll paint them sometime. I'm not in a hurry though, it's only a minor cosmetic change.

And yeah, I'm fond of the wheels too. But Sometime down the track I'd like to have something different, just to make it a little different than all the other 200SX's on our roads. But I'll keep them a similar shape to these ones, and just put racing compound on my stock rims for track days

Agree with pretty much everything you said- although I saw an S15 200SX for sale on autopoint with some 17's and it was simple very nice sight indeed- of course the S15 stock rims are also ver nice looking (at least in Spec R form)

Nissan added 17"s to their end of line S15's before it was taken out of production, which always looked alot better than the older 16"s. I had entertained the idea of putting them on my S14, but I'm uncertin about the looks. I'll have to do a photoshop of it sometime.

These are the ones I'm talking about. ROH make them, but Nissan just re-badged them. I love the look of them on S15's.
