engine swaps

WHat swaps can I do with 1.3 DOHC
I have an engine and parts car but I have no car I can legaly run. I'm having trouble finding another GTI but I have this great little engine. What should I do, would they fit in GEO metro or some other american car?

Yep, you can put that motor in any 89-97 geo metro, hatchback or convertible. I've seen some people use those motors as high power go-kart motors, and even in older mini-coopers. I would buy an old XFi geo metro, just so you get the plain looking body, and drop that motor in there, just suprise the hell out of people, lol.

The Geo Metro isn't an American car.

you could make it fit but it probably dosent fit between the front frame rails and the fire wall will more then likely need to be modified

Re: engine swaps

Does anybody have any helpful links about a "mini Impreza" project?

I've read some German dudes write they combined 1.3 GTI 16V heads with 1.6 blocks to get 120 hp, which you could put into a Subaru Justy II... or start with a Swift 4x4 right away... but are there any adjustable suspension parts to be had, or brake upgrades, or LSDs or some such?

Me, I'd much rather start with the Justy I for some really-low-budget lightweight fun... you'd start with a curb weight of 640 kg with some versions... but you'd have trouble finding power and the 4WD is really really low-tech...
