Black corner lenses for 88-89 Hatchies

So, these are available now from www.eracingzone.com and I was curious wether these would fit in my 90 hatch? As long as the shape of the lens is the same, I can figure out how to mount them...

Oh, and they also have ones for the 4G4D's... (of course they have them for the rex's too, but that's a given).

how many times do i gotta tell you.

Buy clear corners
Buy transparent spray tint at your local hobby shop
Get clear coat.
Get 1200 grit sand paper
Sand clear corners
Paint clear corners, giving enough coats till level of tint desired is achived
Apply clear coat
walla

I cant believe you would try to rig up 89 corners just because you cant find some premade 90-91 black corners. Same with i dont know why ANY 6th gen civic owner would buy CTR headlamps, when they can open the stock ones and paint the housings and have it look a hell of a lot cooler IMO.

Sure, they'd be black, but just wouldn't look the same as the headlights... at least with the black housing they're pretty close, only wish the plastic was crystal clear.

the shape should be the same. I gave a friend my stock 88 lense and they fit on his 90 hatch.

I like these ones.

Over the later stages of the year I was planning to import some lighting goodies from RacerWheel, anybody know if they're reliable etc?

Isn't there a way to just take off the glass covering and spray the bulb surrounding black? That way your corners would appear to be black but would still have the clear covering. Just a thought!

Yeah. I've done that before several times, but the only time that I got the lenses off without breaking them or warping the housings, when I put them back together, I used hot-glue, and when it got hot out, both lenses flew off the car, so I'm done trying that.

Slave...
Are those for hatchbacks?! I would much rather have a set of those if they'll fit!

Dammit.

How different are they from hatch lenses? Is the shape of the lens different, or just the mounting?

Thought you would be smarter then this - you need to use silicone, not freakin hot glue.

Trial and error...

Anyways, I don't want to waste any more money on corner lenses and have them crack...
