Bought Some Simple Green TO Clean My Engine
What vital parts of my engine's hear do I need to cover up? Because I've read that you need to spray your engine down with water.

if you spray your engine with water, make sure you don't get it in your air filter box, if you do, then let it dry before driving it

Battery, Intake Filter, and Distributor. And also make sure your spark plug wires are pressed in good so they are waterproof.
My battery is in my trunk, my air filter is under my bumper so I never have any issues. And if you make sure your Dist cap is screwed on tight that should be good enough.

dont worry about your air box....thats pretty sealed.....if oyu have a short ram then cover the filter or let it dry.....the only thing I would cover would be the dizzy. That can leak water and ruin it. So save the hastle and "Wrap it up"

If you don't spray the dizzy directly, I don't think you even need to cover it up. I never did. And if Simple Green doesn't get everything off, I suggest you get a can of Foamy Engine Brite. It's good stuff.

Yeah, I got some water in my dizzy after doing mine the first time, and it wouldn't start for 2 days. So, just tape a little plastic bag over it... Same with the air-filter, or just remove it. Remove the battery too.
I followed the detailing instructions on www.1fastrex.com but found that it's alot easier to scrub on the block/head/tranny, etc with some wire brushes (in conjunction with the simple green, etc). Just buy a set of wire brushes at Kragen or Schucks or whatever... Works alot better.
