a couple of weeks ago my uncle and i replaced the cv axles from my 92 integra ls. we came upon a problem where the cv wouldn't fit in the passenger side all the way, so what he did was put the assembly together and try driving hopefully it would lock into place. guess what it didn't, the car was fine at idle but when i shift into first gear and started moving i felt like i just hit a wall or something hard, i knew immediately it was the axle. we then pushed it back into the drive way and start over again, after a while in the blistering sun we finally got the shaft into the hole and it felt really good kinda like having sex the first time.lol well anyways it ways doing fine after that, until a week or do i notice a leak coming from between the hole where the shaft was put in and in also makes a clicking noise when im in turning right only when im in gear. when im not in gear theres no noise at all. some guy at autozone said it could be that my differentials is screwed because of what happen . another and that i had to get another tranny. a mechanic down the street said that its the cv shafts and i should get a new one instead of the crappy refurbished ones i got because the were cheaper, he also said my car doesn't have differentials because it's fw drive, honestly i have no clue because i don't get into the transmission often and my budget is limited since im a college student. now i bet the fluid is really low and i have to pump more in b4 something bad happens. Has any one came upon the same problem and had it fix? if u did please help. i can't afford to be replacing one thing after the other just to find that one dreaded problem.

when you tried to get it in you either bent, broke,or pinched the axle seal so either get a new axle seal or check and see if your old one is salvageable.

Ok first you need to go to honda and buy the seal numbered 18 on the diagram here
And I think maybe the axle is bad like the guy at the shop said but, you do have a differential in your car but it would be making that noise all the time no matter What direction the wheel is turned. P.S do not ry to salvage the seal that is in the tranny now, it is worth the $8-10 for the seal, just make sure you drive it in straight and all the way. Do not let it get turned at all while driving it in. Go to the hardware store and find a plastic pipe coupling that is just barly smaller than the seal and use this to drive in the seal.

hey thanks guys for ur response i got the seal and more tranny fluid from acura, but now im kinda unsure about the axles. do u know any place to get good axles thats not too expensive? i found one type of axles they are called prodrive but their prices are rediculous, it was like 1500 for the two pair and they still use the oem boot and bearings from honda. well hope to here from u and thanks again. p.s. how u get that diagram, it was exactly like the one from the acura dealer's computer? that amazing.
