Sub/amp issue.. they stopped working
yesterday i turn on my car and what do i hear but only the door speakers going. no subs. no bass. just stupid door speakers. i open my trunk and the subs are barely moving and the cd deck is turned way up with the bass pretty high. from inside the car you cant even tell that the subs are going, from the trunk you can see them moving, but like 1mm back and forth at the most. i look at the amp, everythings connected. i look under the hood and the fuse isnt blown. after fiddling for a while i pulled out one of the LOW Input plugs and they subs start going, not as loud as usual, but close. i plug it back in and the subs quiet way down again. then i pull out the other LOW Input plug and the subs start going again... WTF?
has this ever happened to anyone? anyone know how to fix it? i have a JVC cd deck, BOSS amp, and 2 10" sony xplods (in case it matters) |

Have you checked the polarity from the amp to the subs and from box to subs ? How is your ground wire ? Still not working ? Try using the high level imputs if the amp has some. Does you headunit have low level controls ?
