87 european ZC1 CRX engine question
Hello,
I am currently looking at a few ZC1 powered CRXes here in sweden. The ones I am looking at all have something wrong with the engine so I want to put a new one in there. Will the newer blacktop ZC engine from the 88-91 CRXes fit with no major modifications? Or should I find another ZC1 engine? I know the newer 88-91 ZC engine only has 10 more hp, but it has loads more torque! Carl |

yea, well, sorta...
the black top is electonic distributor so it has different wiring and you would have to use a 86-87 bottom end for it to line up. neither of these motors make the power your true zc does or would. no 88-91 motor is gonna bolt into a 1st gen rex with out major mods..... |

i wish you could find me one too... i can get one in toranto Canada used. you can also get a JDM motor that get's pulled at 30-40,000 miles from a importer. they have some crazy emitions law that says to replace the motor to keep up with strict emition enforcement.
