Question tail lights dont work!!

i just put new alteza tail lights in my 96 maxima, and now the tail lights wont light up! i know its a fuse or short in a wire, but cant find the problem exactly. anyone have any tips??? the fuse is fine, but it seems that if the wires that are in the fuse box are wiggled just right, then it works, or flashes on for a few seconds. please help!! also, when trying to figure out what the problem was, the dash lights quick working! again, all the fuses are fine, so it has to be something else.

Did you do any re-wiring in the trunk when you hooked up the lights? If so it's quite possible you got something crossed. The best way to know would be to replace the factory plugs. They are color coded so you can't really get them in the wrong place. If that fixes the problem then you know it's just a matter of hooking up the new lights and making sure you get them in the right order the second go-round. Otherwise, my advice is to leave the factory lights hooked up until you correct the problem...then try it all again.

I had the same problem with mine, burnt two fuses. The problem is in the bulb sockets, there are two metal conductors at the bottom if you look. Pull the harness tight to make sure those two pieces dont touch eachother. Hope this helps.
