dont rev it in park first of all, bad for the engine...

secondly does it happen when you are revving up or letting off, where does it seem to come from, auto or manual tranny?

i have the same thing happen to me, but i drive a '97 cavalier (and i do it sometimes b/c my car has a rough start), but i think it has something to do w/ the rev limited, like posted in this other thread a little while ago. idk, just an educated guess.

- oh, and my car's a 2.2 auto, if that's any help.

thats normal, and don't rev it to the limiter, it's bad for the engine.
