removing crank

ok i've got the engine on the hoist still, the tranny is off, the clutch is off... all i have left is the flywheel, crank pulley, and oil pump. the pump is no problem, but the other two kinda are.

i saw in my chilton that there is a tool to keep the flyhweel from moving, but logding itself into the flywheel teeth... where can i get one?

also, how do i remove the crank pulley? i'm guessing just make sure its all tight and break it loose, am i right?

Do you have an impact wrench, or know someone who has one you can borrow for a day? Those work great, you don't have to worry about the flywheel spinning, they still get the bolt out.

found something better... put two bolts in the flywheel location, put a tie rod separator in between the two and lodged it against teh engine stand so it wouldn't budge. got a breaker bar, and viola!

already putting it all together i was gonna get it all done this morning, but i don't have the piston ring installer, the thing that looks like a reverse set of plirs to safely stretch the rings.. gotta get that tonite (another 5 bucks, sigh)
