Headrest Removal?

I just bought a set of seat covers for my 2002 Sunfire (I wanted to install racing seats but it just wasn't in the budget) Anyway I need to remove the headrests in order to install the seat covers but for the life of me I can not figure out how to get the things off. Does anyone know how to take these things off?

Thanks

Re: Headrest Removal?

here is how you do it, right from the service manual

Removal

1. Position headrest in up position

2. Push headrest down approx. 25mm (1 Inch)

3. Push headrest removal tool, J39509 or equivalent, downward between the front of both headrest posts and the headrest guides.

4. Rotate the headrest removal tool, J 39509 or equivalent, 90 degrees toward the passenger side (clockwise).

5. remove the headrest by pulling upward.

there it is.... have fun..
