kodak digital camera worth getting?

I was at best buy yesterday trying to see what i should by with a gift certificate i got as a gift. It wasn't much so i was looking at dvd's and cd's. but then i came across the digital camera's. I'm not totally computerly challenged. It's probably what i do best. But seeing how most digital camera's now offer the same basic things, i wasn't sure which one would be best for me. I know sony or optimus would have quality but the small kodak in the corner caught my eye. I can't remember the model or anything, but it had a docking station to charge it that was built into a printer. It claimed that to print you wouldn't even need a computer. And sure enough, there was this crystal clear picture of some 10 year old girl that had taken her picture with the camera and printed in there in the store and left it. The camera was a couple hundred, and the docking station/printer wasn't that much different in price either. The computer i mainly use at home is a Compaq with Windows 95. It's so frickin' old, and in about a month i'm buying a decent dell laptop. I'm just guessing, but i'm pretty sure it wouldn't support windows 95. I'm not to worried about that cause i'm buying that notebook, but for the time being I am impressed with the simplicity of the camera and clearness of the printer. The guy at best buy was going over why he liked that camera to a couple in their 40's and that's why it caught my eye.

With digital camera its worth looking into researching about it first before buying. They're a type of product which is "u get for what u pay for".

Basically it depends on what u use it for, also need to look at other things (such as more batteries, memory storage, etc) there's quite a lot to think about.

Take a look at this thread, it has some useful links:

Take a look at it first then post more specific questions so its possible to steer u into a more specific area or narrow down the choices. Going by impulse for buying digital camera is not recommanded.
