GTP coolant boiling?
Ok, after driving my 99 GTP for a little while and stopping (doing some shopping and coming back home), I hear this bubbling noise from the engine. I pop the hood and look to see that the coolant is boiling.
I am not real familiar with these engines, I have more experience with Honda/Acuras... but what could be the problem? The coolant gauge seems to be reporting ok temps, nothing to be extremely worried about. Any insights here appreciated,Mario |

I would bet it was just releasing air out of the system and releasing it into the res, like what happens when you pour a coke out of a 2 L.
it takes alot to boil anti freeze.well over the operating temp of the vehicle
