OK folks, a quick question. I've just made a slight error on my Peugeot 206 WRC and ripped the driver/co-driver names on one of the side windows. Careless, huh?
I was wondering if anyone uses anything to protect these decals on the outside of windows. I didn't like the idea of spraying clear onto them for fear of messing up the clear plastic, but maybe this is the answer .Alternatively, I could try and avoid having to handle the kit after the window decals are on

I think the name of the thread will be a bit misleading
But I find the best way is to put the window decals on last, that way they should be safe. Maybe you could try applying them on the inside (if they will stick)

I don't know if it works, (haven't tried it myself, but I ve heard of people using modeling wax, as decal savers; to prevent them from peeling off and to maintain the paint in original status with added shine -effect, ...
this might be the answer to your question. Olivier |

I use liquid decal film/decal restorer. I apply a couple of thin coats with a flat paintbrush. I think it is made by Microscale.

You could try dippin it in future and letting the excess run off. You'd have to make sure the decals are absolutely dry and down on the surface as you might be risking them coming off in the future. I've never tried it with decals on the windows, so don't get mad at me if it doesn't work right.
My Glass Tutorial The last two paragraphs will be able to help you the most...hopefully.

I put the decals on the inside of the window. Use some microsol and microset to get them to stick.

Thanks all. Looks like my Focus WRC will have to be the guinea-pig for these suggestions.
