91 Civic Hatch vs 91 CRX

This isn't as much a kill as a big accomplishment on my behalf.

Well, like any other weekend night, I went out to go cruise on the strip up here. Like any other night, there's the people who feel the need to race at every red. I try and avoid those cats. But anyways, I was at Jack in the Box and I was propositioned for a race. Two runs. One on the bottle one off. He hopped in his CRX and we headed for a nice open road. He has a b16a1 built motor from some import tuning shop in Portland. The first race is all motor. We run. I miss third, but still come in right on his bumper. The second race is on the bottle. We line up. I scoot my seat forward this time so that third will be there. We nod, and we start runnin'. I'm runnin' all the way to 8500 and I'm on his ass even with his bottle runnin' a 75 shot. I start pullin' just a bit, maybe half a car length behind him when it's done. An all motor 91 civic hatch almost takin' out a 91 CRX b16a1 on the bottle. I'd say an accomplishment for sure.

Actually he was using his 75 shot, but he was having some traction problems and his shifts weren't all too good, but it's all in fun and games. He raced me just the other night, and had a problem similar to this.

I don't know if I stated it, but on the first race, I missed third pretty damn bad and it pretty much blew my run. I was a little further behind in the second race, but I didn't have any shifting problems in the second race. And on the first one I kinda crapped up my launch. The one tire fire thing. An LSD would be a godsend.
