I had a 93 S-10 Blazer with a vortec CPI 4.3 lock up recently. Upon pulling the plugs it was discovered that the #4 cylinder was filled with gas ( so much so it ran from the spark plug hole in a stream ). When the motor is turned over with out the plugs gas shoots out the spark plug hole in a very heavy spray. This is occuring only on the #4 cylinder and not on any others. What would cause the cylinder to flood like this? It is only the #4 cylinder, all others are fine.

the poppet valve to that cylinder is broken, or something else in the CPI injector assembly is. you'll need to replace the CPI injector assembly.
