i need to know a couple of things about the 3000gt/gto twin turbo.

i`m planing to buy a sports car my funds allow me to to invest in a GTO twin turbo or a nissan skyline r33 gts t type m. my question is this if the speed cut on the gto can be disabled wat top speed should i expect from it while it is in stock form to an extent. Plus i wanna slightly modify it like increase the boost any articles you could point out to me.

I know the specs on the car say 153 but the cars in the US do not have any type of governer and have go over that mark. The GTO out of Japan has one and (supposedly) won't go any faster.

I'm not that old! I've had the 94 deep in the 150s before I backed off, but there was some punch left in it. I've not taken the 95 over 130, but not because its not there, but because the opportunity has not presented itself

at 23 psi with FIPK intake, stillen downpipe, 18's, 660cc injectors, and slightly larger SMICs my 91 will put the speedo to just under 180.

As far as bang for ur buck goes, my 91 beats the costs of importing/legalising a GT-R hands down. I paid 9,000 usd for my (used) stock vr-4. After about 10,000 in mods.....i've got no complaints, and there are few cars around that come close to it. 19,000 for a car that smokes porches and vetts like they were pintos is a pretty good deal if you asked me.

As for the GTR skyline, i hope you're ready to pay out the ass for one. (unless your buying an older one that's been legalised). If you're buying one fairly new, do the research first, because just an R33 could cost around 80,000 to import.

Either way, goodluck. If you're looking to mod, get the VR-4, if you going to stay stock.........well, it's a tough call.

I got my vr4 very close to 160 just with exhaust, intake, and y-pipe on stock boost. Only thing keeping this car from going faster is its weight. This pig needs to go on a diet......
