The TCS (Traction Control System) Light comes on while drive. The engine begans to surge and jerk like the car is not getting gas. The car seems to be going into fall safe mode once all the light comes on.
If you know anything about this problem, please let me know how to solve it. No one here seems to know anything about this problem. Thanks in advance. |

tcs light
try this site regarding your problem. I have the same thing and will be dealing with it next week. In the interim I just disconnect the battery for 10 seconds and that resets everything until the TCS light comes on and then the check engine light comes on.
Here is the site:www.asashop.org/autoinc/may2001/techtips.cfm By the way, if you have already dealt with the problem, please let me know the solution. Thanks Mike [email protected] |

The Solution
It's a vacuum leak around the air bypass valve. I put the engine analyzer on the OBD II port and it said it was the Air Bypass valve circuit. I checked the hoses around the air bypass valve and found one of the small hoses at the base of the valve and found one was split. I repaired the leak and the problem is gone. IT makes sense that it was a vacuum leak since when I drove at highway speed the light never came on(plenty of vacuum) and when I was in stop and go the light would come on(a small leak would cause problems since the vacuum was lower) This is a guaranteed fix. any questions send me an email
