Help with settings on Razo Up shift indicator

For those not familiar with it, here it is:
shift light

control unit for selecting rpm's for green and rpms for red lights

The Red comes on when you reach the max rpms you want.

The green lights up when you are at the rpm you want for launching at the strip. This can also be set for autocross to where if you fall below the desired rpm it will light up. You just press a switch for the desired affect you want, either above or below the preset rpms.

When I start the car, the green light is on and I have it set to come on when it goes below a certain rpm (not sure what rpm, but the knob is turned to a low setting)...to test it out. I rev it all the way and the light doesn't go off. The red one doesn't come on either when I hit the rev limiter and I have the red rpm set to a low setting to come on.

There are 6 switches in the rear and I have no idea what to set them at. The manual is written in poor english, but sounds like I should have the switch down for 4, meaning I have 4 cylinders. So I'm not sure if I have that part correct, or if I have the thin black wire spliced into the wrong blue wire.

I don't think staring at my tach is a good idea while autocrossing or at the drag strip.

never mind guys. I got it working now. I had the back set correctly....number 4 down and the rest of the tabs up. I just had the wrong blue wire, go figure The blue wire was on the far left connector to the ecu.

How the hell do you think everyone else does it? You know what the problem is? You stare at it. You're supposed to quickly glance at it.

When I'm autocrossing, I don't have the time to glance at it, when I'm going through a slalom and into a 90 degree turn, then through some more slalom and more 90 degree turn. I guess you're the man
For those that might get this and need a how to

All the components

Mounted the shift light just behind the steering wheel

Lead the wire from the shift light behind the dash/steering wheel

Have your dash around the shifter removed to help lead that same wire through, towards your glove compartment box

Make sure to zip tie the wire away from the shifter

Zip tie the wire again behind the glove compartment

Use this as a grounding point for the ground wire...behind the glove box

For the power wire. Take the red wire and splice it into the green/black wire with silver dots. This wire can be found above your dead pedal. It's hot, so once you turn the key on, you have power.

For the rpm wire...splice it into the blue wire on the far left ecu connector

Now that everything is connected you can put the controller in the glove box. Before you do, in the back of the controller, make sure number 4 is down and that the rest of the white tabs are up. This is to let the controller know it is getting readings from a 4 cylinder engine.

Now you can adjust the turn knob for the red and green light to where you want them to come on. For the green light, you can have the push button on the controller set to the down position for when you rpms go below what you have it set for. Put the button in the up position to have the green light come on over the set rpms.

Hopefully this link will work, so if you need higher res pics you can go here and select each individual pic

(ROFL, I've been searching all over the net for a clean tut; I should've known to check af first Sorry to bring up an old thread btw)

OMG! Thanks for the tut! I was hesitating to buy one of these, since i was 99% sure i wouldn't be able to install it correctly, and thus breaking something.

Where did you get yours and for how much?
