Angry smokin!!

heh' bet you all thought this was about doing burnouts

anyways, i just wanna know who smokes and why??
i myself dont smoke, i mean, why would you want to breath in smoke, and damage your lungs, etc.
it is also a good waste of money.
it is also a bit harder for me to like someone if they smoke, it puts me off them when i first meet someone and they pull out a ciggie and light up.
anyway, just my thoughts.......

I couldn't agree more. Smoking is a disgusting habit that is bad for you and looks really gross to boot.

Not to mention the fact its not very good if you play sports and have an active lifestyle.

Say what you like about it - I hate it and thats my 0.02.:bandit:

I’ve never smoked and I never will. I hate the smell and can’t actually see the point in it. I’ve got much better things to spend my money on!!

Don't smoke--never have, never will. Disgusting and pointless habit. I don't care too much if a guy smokes, but I'm very turned off my female smokers.

Hey man I know nicotine is addictive.....but I don't think it was a wise idea to start it in the first place.........

Have you tried patches and stuff? My Dad quit by going to some hypnotist guy.....that could work if you really want to quit.

I wonder if there are truly people out there that hate cigarettes more than I do. I may have drunken myself into a stupor literally hundreds of times, tried many kinds of drugs, but I am proud to say that I have never once in my life smoked a cigarette.. and I hope that in 50 years I can still say the same. That of course says nothing about the hideuous amount of second hand smoke I am subjected to in the bars and clubs that I hang out in. Nothing as nice as leaving a place like that and having your hair and everything you wear wreaking of smoke. And don't even get me started on how I feel when I see a parent pushing their toddler around in a stroller with a cigarette in hand. That is just the worst.

Do the smokers realize that part of the assembly line of cigarette manufacturing is to douse the tobacco in ammonia, so that when you inhale cigarette smoke, it causes your lung tissue to expand (like your reaction when you get a good whiff of ammonia) to aid in nicotene absorption?

I'll punctuate the preceding message by saying that I FUCKING HATE CIGARETTES!!!

My smoking career lasted 3 months. I started shortly after my dad died and my thinking wasnt clear. One of my best friends started hanging around a "bad crowd" and we both got into some things we shouldn't have. It started one nite we were out and I was depressed, so she said "lets go get some cloves" (the cigarette kind ) so that was my first smoking experience...then I worked my way over to regular cigarettes. Ironic in a way since my father passed away from lung cancer, and here I am starting to light up At the end of those 3 months we got away from that group of "friends" and I screwed my head on straight and realized I needed to get out of my self-absorbed pity party phase and get moving on with life and living again.

A year later I met Alex and we began dating. He was a smoker and for whatever odd reason I didn't have a problem with it. A little over a year ago he was climbing some steps at work and was out of breath when he got to the 2nd floor. He was only 22, going on 23 at the time and it hit him that if he was getting winded this young, what was it gonna be like 5, 10 or more years down the road. So for my birthday last year his present to me was quitting smoking...he even put a "patch" in my b-day card Now he's been smoke free since then and is so glad he did it.

As for the addiction,he can totally relate. He started smoking on n off at 13 and became a regular smoker at 16 and went on til my birthday last year (2 weeks short of his 23rd b-day). It was hard at first but what helped him with the physiological need (the act of putting something to his mouth) was cinnamon flavored toothpicks. He came off the patch after the first "phase"of it cuz he got a box of bad ones that wouldn't stick but by then he had made up his mind he really quit and never went back.

Myself, I don't smoke. I never have. I never will. It neither interests or intrigues me. However, I will go out on the porch to keep one of my close friends company while she enjoys a cigarette (usually functioning as a stress reliever). We've got it down to a system. Before she lights up, we determine the direction of the wind, and then we sit on the appropriate sides of the couch so that I come back without second-hand smoke saturated clothing. It works.

Well, for me, i actaulyl kind of enjoy it. I just dont like the bad parts of it. The smell doesn't bother me. I like the smell of Camels (mm....camel) and cloves. If only there was a harmless cigarette out there.

But ill quit as soon as i get a girlfriend that cares enough to make me quit. I lack the self control to do it myself.

I think they use Ginseng cigarettes in TV shows, for smoking characters. At least that's what Ted Danson said in a Becker blooper "Mhlemr...shit, I can't get it right, I think I'm getting high off this genseng cigarette..."

I'm not addicted, I don't want to be addicted. But I will admit to loving to smoke. It's quite relaxing, and since I'll only have like max 10 a year, it's a time where you can just sit down with the smoke and do nothing but think and stare into space. I MUCH prefer cigars though. Way way better IMO.
