Perform Service...0 miles to servie due
On my '97 Grand Cherokee the Perform Service indicator and alert is coming on. I've already done the maintenance myself. How do I reset this? I disconnected the battery for a while and it didn't work. In the past when I replaced the alternator and had the batt disconnected, the countdown to service due was reset. Now that it's at 0 miles to service, that procedure doesn't work. Thanks

I found this on a jeep website - The 'perform services' light can be reset by pressing and holding the reset button for 3 seconds

Thanks for the quick reply. That actually didn't reset it. I've tried everything. It's a 97 grand cherokee Laredo v-8 5.2
Any other suggestions would be great. Thanks again. |

vehicle service indicator
This may be a bit late, but i just found this site today so here goes anyways:
On my '95 Grand Cherokee there are two buttons on the little computer screen, Set and Reset. I forget which is on top and which is on bottom, but the procedure is that you tap the bottom button (Set I believe) two times then press and hold the top button (Reset I believe) untill the computer beeps a few times and says 3,000 Miles to Service. Hope that helps. Chrisbax |
