question regarding a motor i might buy

hey guys,

i might be buying a complete d16z6 motor for about 300 cdn, but i was wondering if this problem is serious or not about the motor.

the seller said that there might be an oil leak out of the rocker
cover and oil pan.

is that easy to repair?

tia

It might just be the gaskets but you cant really tell. Sounds a bit risky.

but for 300 cnd thats a pretty good deal it may be worth the risk of it being something else. IMO

imo for like 150 american hell yeah thats a steal... even if the damage is pretty moderate you could pick up another block and swap stuff over... but its more likely to just be worn gaskets... i'd get more details on that...

how does that sound like a head gasket... the rocker cover aka the valve cover... is above the head... and the oil pan is below the block... both of which are far away from the head gasket... like i said most likely its bad gaskets or worst case something is warped and/or cracked... but for 150 american thats still worth it....
