Fix It Ticket...

I just got pulled over today for my ride being to low. Does anyone know how fix it tickets work? Do I bring it to the Police Station to have it inspected or what? Also what should I do to pass inspection? I just want to pass then ill put it back how it was. I have no idea so let me know.

Around here all you have to do is take a picture of it fixed and the ticket to the court house and they'll get rid of the ticket for you, but i dunno how it is around your neck of the woods if i were you i would bring your car to them fixed as well so they can go see it if they want to ad save you a trip back home to go get the car.

But im pretty sure everywhere you would take it to the courthouse on the date on the ticket and just show them the pic or the car which ever they want and they'll take care of it.

haha just get coilovers, raise it up to the highest setting, and take a picture or show the police. Then just slam it to the floor after!

i live in l.a. too and when i got a fix it ticket for my exhaust i had to take my car to the police station so they could inspect it and sign off on it, but since my friend is a cop a never actually had to get my car fixed. then i took the signed ticket to the judge on my court date to get it cleared.

Here's what happens in Cali. They give you the ticket, and you fix it, all you pay is a $10 processing fee to get it signed off, don't fix it and you pay the FULL price of the fine (whatever it ends up being...) If you take it in the be signed off though, you better make sure the center of your headlights (basically from the center of the bulb) down to the ground is at least 22 inches, because that's what the CVC (Cali Vehicle Code) states, is that your headlights can be no lower than 22 inches from the ground. I wish they had a MAX height that applied to trucks and SUVs as well, so lame!

Yah really. To me raised trucks would seem to cause more of a problem then a lowered car. I want to see a cop pull over a guy with a Murcielago and tell him to raise his car. But what ever. Us punk kids with hondas. We are the root of all evil.

No need to jump on the guy for asking a question, you could have stated your comment a little nicer. I see where you're coming from, but I see why he asked too. You could always do the "civil protest" thing and pay the higher fine to show them "you don't have to take this sh*t." Not that I recommend that, I don't, just a point. I just say fix it, have them sign it off, and then slam it again. Afterwords, get coil-overs to make it easy next time, or make it REALLY easy to fix next time, get and air-ride suspion, then just raise it up if you pass a cop or you think he'll tail you...vioala, there you go, proper height, cop leaves and BAM, low again.

Oh no I dont do that to just anyone. In another thread I asked a question about my Coilover Kit and he made a stupid comment in the thread and said "Who buys a car with aftermarket products and doesnt know how to use them". And yes it is as stupid as I quoted it. But I had a reason for that one. I mean I got the car with the kit and dont have instructions or anything so I figured id ask and he got all big headed.

I see where you're coming from, no one likes it when people are rude to them. Hopefully, now you two can get along I remember the thread you are refering to. Didn't jay tell you how to work the tockio coilovers? You have the the white coilovers where it's the shock with a fully threaded body coilover, correct? No matter what anyone says, thats much better than the stock suspension. Hey, would the ticket be why you wanted to knowo how to adjust them? Although I am not a fan of air suspensions, that would solve the too low problem if cops are anal down there, though I don't know since I am not from LA (though I have family down there).
