Hi, I'm new here but so far I like the forums alot. I own a 1988 Volvo 240Gl and a 1995 Volvo 960. I had to swap the engine for the 960 because I blew the original.
It was a sad experience but now I take special care of my cars.

I dunno what it is about Swedish cars, but they are so damn cool! Volvos and SAABs are awesome! I miss my 900 Turbo

I have to agree, Swedish cars are very dependible and extravagant. Once you own one you fall in love forever.

Swedish cars dependable? Perhaps. Extravagant? I think weird is the word you're looking for. Volvo, big and boxy - though the 1800 and the "Amazon" where pretty curvy and nice looking. SAAB used to define automotive weirdness, not entirely like your boring German built DKW - but with a whole lump of weirdness to set them apart. The 96 and 95 where such great cars in 2-stroke form.

Most people I know find Volvo cars very appealing. I guess everyone has his own taste.
