wtf is this switch?

I was poking around last night looking for a place to hide my fuel cut off switch when I noticed something in my trunk. On the passenger side on the right there is some on/off switch that is covered by a plastic piece of what looks like the same shit corner lights and shit are made of. Anyone know what it does?

Trunk switch

I guess the first place to start is, what style of body you have? HB, or sedan?

I'll look in my trunk, although a little more info would help, is the switch covered by anything? was it under a panel or out in the open? dimensions of the switch/plastic cover?

And yeah, not to sound rude or stupid, simply from what I can think of, it does sound like the trunk light dude.

maybe your trunk light bulb is burned out, if of course, that is what it is. if it isn't, then we all have quite the mystery on our hands.

no man, its all stock wires, and nothing has been rigged. the only thing i can see is that the wire goes into the dash harness but is in the wrong pin location on the plug. or something. trust me, i would find anything that was rigged up. i strip 4g civics all the time
