and this car (sorry but the pics are on my harddrive)
this car is chassis 068, it was unregistered and it sold through Duncan Hamilton in England, that's a very high profile dealership in Hampshire.
The owner is Frank Selldorf, the Roundell article sais more about it.

does anybody have some more on Selldorf's 068 and his LM, photo's LM # and some other stuff you might think i'm interested in..

and lastly, somebody found these pics for me on a mercedes forum...
this is a silver car, with high mirrors, and IIRC ralph lauren had these (am i correct) he owns 074 and 055, they are both silver so the car could be both...

i am interested in whose car this is...

I can't help you for your three first requests, but I think I have a magazine (at home) with the same picture as the last you post. I will read what they say (if I'm not wrong).

But I see two things:

there is no wiper
the back part is different from all the other pictures of the clinic car (even those from the presentation in Monaco - from the 5thgear_greatestcar)

EDIT : for GTR pictures and informations like chassis numbers there is this site :

http://www.racingsportscars.com/photo.html

"Photos in the archive are sorted by individual races. Each race has its own page that includes not only thumbnails of each available car but also detailed statistics about the race and shown cars and include also some technical information"

it also doesn't have the "mclaren" badge on the front, so it's probably a prototype, but which? XP4 didn't look like this for all i know, neither did XP5. XP3 was bright silver, and XP2 was blue with yellow and was crashed into a concrete wall
XP1 perhaps?

Ok - from the top:

#1: The Franck Muller Watches GTR is #11R - it was later painted a combination of black and orange. It's a '96-spec GTR that raced in the BPR series and at the '96 24Hrs of LeMans where it wore race number 53. It failed to finish the race though. More recent photos of this car show it painted up like an LM.

#2: Wow - nice photo of #068 - I had never seen one before. Thanks!

#3: Never seen those before - but I agree with your assumptions. Nice!

#4: Clearly that is XP1 - there are several details, like the ones that jkbon pointed out that identify it. Also note the 'eyebrows' above the headlights - I believe the Clinic Model and XP1 were the only McLaren's to ever feature them. Also, the central driving lights in the front bumper vents were also exclusive to the Clinic Model and XP1.

BTW: Speaking of XP1 - does anyone have an interior photo of that car?? There are a few in "Driving Ambition" but none are all that great.

it's my only pic of 068
i found it on this site
http://www.duncanhamilton.com
you have to surf to their picture gallery, then twenty significant car and then click on the mclaren
they said it was unregistered before it sold. i guess selldorf is the first and only owner of that car. are there any pics of his LM, i'm more interested in that.
Drew, if that car is in for service or other reasons, take some pics, and even better, if you have a good digital photo cam, you can make small movies. make on when doing a 0-100-0 run. should be a reaaaal smal movie
credit for the pics of the MB forum goes to a friend of mine, is it really one of Lauren's cars, and if so, which 055 or 074?

the car on the truck is definatley one of laurens. impossible to tell unless someone knows which one had the high mounted mirrors or someone knows when the pics were taken and when his car got approved (the pics were taken @ Fritzes)
