Dont nail me to bad...First time

This is one of the reasons i am the creator of the Focus Contest.
I chopped it cuase i figured i should give it a go along with the rest of you
This was my first time using Airbrush technique and I tried making up my own bumper
3 layers of paint to give it that candy apple red
let me know what you guys think

I'll try not to be to hard on you but thats bad,your selections are all wrong it's not tight on the car(try zooming to 300-400% then select your car),you colored the number plate too?.
Your airbrushing looks like a black blob(next time try overlaying a bumper onto the car lower the opacty to 30-40% and the airbrush over that so you can get your reflections etc.. right)

You should really check out the tutorials @ most sites like photochop,photoshopchop,rans site etc... but dont worry practice makes perfect everybody sucked at first.

not too bad LadyLuke.. I would recommend leaving the license plate white, and also, when you colorize the layer to change the car color, turn the hardness down on the eraser when you go to erase the excess. Then you don't get those white chunks around the edges of things. And unlike real life, the number of layers you use on the color doesn't really do anything. It doesn't give the paint depth or anything, but *can* make it look more fake, based on the fact that the saturation continuing to be layered on can remove details.
