Question Where's a good place to buy an engine?

I was just wondering where I could buy a good engine from? Are there any sites that deal with both Sohc and Dohc engines for civics. I can't make up my mind yet on what engine to get though. I was thinking of a Dohc ZC but I know that they aren't supported with that many aftermarket parts. What are some more cheaper engines I could get?

If you could find a totalled 92-95 civic ex they have the d16 in them which would be pretty quick and cheap if u could get a totalled one. if not zc is the cheapest for the power but there isn't a huge aftermarket for them

The 92-95 civic ex engine will fit into the 4g hatch? Is there any mods that have to be made or is it a clean swap?

the civic ex engine is the d16z6 sohc vtec, so just look for sohc vtec install threads.

if yours is a dx it has to be wired to mpfi, you'll need to use the 4g si tranny, and maybe convert the ecu from non obd to obd 1 or 2 depending on the year of the engine. I think that's everything
