really depends on how much boost you plan on running, how you have it tuned and who's the better driver.

On the stock block, you could run upwards of 1bar(14.7psi) with the right amount of fuel. With pistons around 20+psi.

Turbo. And you can run about 16psi on the stock internals, but not all the time. On the track would be cool, but other than that I'd stay between 12 and 14psi.

If you've got $$ get a turbo. If you want the most bang for the buck, get n2o.

Word
But don't think that because you have money that nitrous still isn't the best motor. An extreme nitrous setup can cost you as much as any turbo...Take mine for example...Total cost after all n2o and fuel upgrades = $3500+

Turbo. Just replacing the stock pistons and rods won't do jack. You have to replace the sleeves too. Generally speaking the ''safe'' zones are-stock rods can handle 14 PSI, pistons 12 PSI, and cylinder walls 15 PSI. So just replacing the rods/pistons will only yield you 3 more PSI, unless you want to risk cracking your sleeve.
Like if you ran 12 PSI on stock internals, with the right tuning and mods(like 3'' exhaust) you can be pushing 300 HP. With a built block(with sleeves) running 20+PSI you can do 400 easily.

Not completely true. You don't need to get your block resleeved. I konw plenty of guys running just a low cpm. headgasket and they run well over 1bar make 350ish whp. Theres' alot you can do on a stock block depending on which one you are using.

Right, full sentences are you friend. You could build a motor strictally for nitrous and run 10's, i'm sure of it.

dude i know that but all im sayin is so many people think that just because they have "nnaaaawwwsss" that they will run 10 sec 1/4's and people have a very distorted view of nitrous.

Ok, i get you there. I agree, there are alot of people that expect way to much out of a little setup. I know people that are only running 14's with a 75 shot and so on.
