Hello and looking for info on cat backs.
Hello everyone,
I've been reading these forums for a few weeks and there seems to be a good group of people around here. Ok, no bashing on my car for starters I had a silver 96 DX with an automatic trans that a good shot of 200 hp worth of nitros put a quick finish too. Wasn't a bad thing. It actually finished off a 10 pound bottle in a few runs before it blew my Ingen CAI off and a nice size hole in the block. I bought another motor for that car which are dirt cheap and descided to find a civic with a 5 speed for a later B18C conversion. For the good news, I found a 98 Civic EX 5speed with 87k for practicly nothing. Can check the car out here. http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...=392989&page=1 Current mods are the short ram intake, Zex NOS, 17" rims, have the West wings avenger kit sitting in my living room and the TEIN SS coilover kit that should be in today ok there's other stuff also. What I really would like to get opinions on and I've already read a few are the cat back exhaust systems. Apex N1, WS. Someone mentioned a Skunk2. Looking for mellow tones and noise I could live with on some long drives. Sound files, recommendations or anything that could help me descide on one would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to anyone with some input. |

Ok, some kids can't play nice.
No, I did not put it on a dyno so no I can't say for sure it was 200 hp increase. Then again, you weren't sitting in the car either. Tell you what? Go see what kind of hp's you'll get out of you car with open N02 hoses running to your motor. I've done it, give it a shot. You may like it. |

a 200 shot of nitrous on the stock engine should blow the pistons right through the hood of the car... With the stuff you did to your car, it wouldn't be very good for the engine to put 200 shot

SWonder,
If you go to the car domain site you'll see in one of the pictures, 2 civics. The silver one in the background is the one that I blew sky high. Funny you should mention the hood. There is a nice lump in it from the intake blowing off. Never found my CAI filter though since it shot out the right fender somewhere in a ditch. I would have never have run that much except I had a new motor in my garage taking up space and the old one was very tired. Sweetcarz, Really, I'm losing brain cells trying to read your posts. Do everyone a favor and throw your keyboard in the trash. We all know what you really want to do with that flag pole since the fag word seems to be stuck in your vocabulary. |
