old model values?

i went to an auction at my cottage and there wasa model for sale, so i bought it for 1$ , not knowing that the body chassis and most other parts were missing, but anyways

its a 1970 (MADE IN 1970, not a 1970 car) Corvette "Tuner", its probably one of teh first "build it Customly, or stock" cars taht i have ever seen!!!

ill post pics later, but jsut wondering what a COMPLETE old model car is worth, on ebay, or to anyone here?

the price of old model is what someone is welling to pay for it.

Some ppl are welling to pay 5000$ for a Ferrari Posher kit while I will never pay 1$ for a AMT Skoobydoo kit

I just buy a 1/16 Fujimi Ferrari F40 kit for 45$US... was 70$ and it's 15 year old

Believe it or not some guys are into collecting models. Can you imagine letting it sit unopened for more than 5 minutes, not me. I gotta build em. But the rarer thay are, either subject matter or issue the more they go for.
Most models were reissued several times and had differnret options making one more desireable than another.
Like i said I like to build , so if I am looking for something that is fairly rare I usually look for one with a damaged box, they sell for less because the collectors don't want opened or dameged goods usually.
